Question How do I get out of my Voicestream contract with my VP?

Here's the scenario in a nutshell. I have a Visorphone with Voicestream's $19.99 a month plan. I hardly use the device because I purchased another phone with another service provider because the VP was just too inconvenient for me. My Voicestream contract for the VP runs out in July.

A) Is there any chance that I could call Voicestream and get out of the last few months of my contract? If so, what are some tips you recommend? A few people I know have complained about coverage to other companies such as Cingular and Verizon and thoe companies released them with no early-termination charge. Any ideas?

B) If Voicestream refuses to release me from the contract before July, then can I sell the VP? If I sell the VP, will I still be assessed the early termination penalty? I had a phone with CINGULAR last year and it was stolen with only 3 months left on the contract. I hated their coverage in my area so I figured I'd just continue to pay the monthly service fee for three months and then cancel service at the end of the contract. Needless to say, Cingular refused to allow me to pay for service if there was no phone on my account. So they told me to either resign a contract to get another phone, pay the early termination fee, or find another cingular phone from someone and activate it. Any idea if Voicestream will penalize me if someone else tries to activate my VP after I sell it?
