sms signal on visorphone

How can I make sure that I get a signal when a SMS comes through ? I only can select ringing tone for a call on my visorphone, but not for sms-messages

if you get signal for your voice calls you WILL get signal for your sms.

are you talking about how to make the visor phone beep when you get an sms?

It should be somewhere in your settings. I don't remember; since I don't have the VP anymore..

*BUT* it is possible. Maybe someone can help this guy out?

On my VisorPhone, it uses the same settings as the phone ringer.
When a SMS message arrives I get two short beeps, and/or two pair of pulses when set to vibrate.
I don't think this is carrier dependent, so perhaps there is something wrong with your phone.
