Why has Handspring, or any other company not released a 4MB model? Palm discontinued theirs after a while, and they were never seen again.

Before buying my Visor Deluxe a year ago, I was thinking about getting a IIIx. I thought there was no way I could use up 8MB, and I was somewhat right. I'm at 5MB used at the moment.

Even still, I think that there could have been a market for it a few months ago. With the IIIxe and Visor Deluxe at $250, a 4MB, $200 model would have been great. Nowadays, with 8MB $199 models, there's not much price range between the 2 and 8MB models.

What would be nice would be that Handspring lower the price of the Visor to $125 and release a 4MB model at $150 (maybe even with cable instead of cradle).

Thoughts?

Arrow Scar 2MB

I think they should scrap the 2 MB unit all together and make only 4, 8 and 16 MB units.

Better yet, a unit with an exchangeable memory unit.. pop out the 8mb ram board, drop in a 16mb or 32mb card. That would be nice.
