Unhappy

Hi,
My visor had a fatal error message. I performed 2 or 3 times a soft reset, without success. After these resets the visor kept displaying the screen "Palm computing" and didn't switch off. Finally, after performing a 4th soft reset, it had the effect of a hard reset and I lost all the data.

I performed a Synch with my PC, changing the default settings as "desktop overwrites handheld" but the address book and the floating events weren't synchronised in the handheld, despite the fact that they are on my PC. It turns out that the Hotsynch, custom window (conduit) doesn't show the address book as shown in the user guide, page 180.

Does anyone know how to restore the address book and the floating event in my handheld?
And by the way, what about all third-party applications I had installed?

Many thanks in advance

Unhappy Similar problem with my VDX

I had a major crash, lost everything. Was onboard a plane at the time and turned off the machine. Called Handsring support after Backup Buddy failed to restore the address book and the datebook+ entries, but did restore everything else. I re-installed the Palm desktop and the Easysync I use for Lotus Notes. Got my address book back, but not the datebook. The thing I can't figure, is that FileMover says the database is 88K, and EasySync says the files compare. Somehow the database and the program isn't communicating. BTW: don't waste your time with Handspring support.
