When i test my visor for the DRAM problem it says "a potential component issue may exist."
but i havent been have any trouble with it. I got it in June and so far i only had to soft reset it twice.
i dont know if i should install the patch. because so far i havent been having any problems.

Not sure, but I think the DRAM problem is only supposed to manifest itself as a user problem as you approach filling up your RAM. I'd patch it.
My wife ignored a Honda recall on the fenders of her old Accord because they were fine at the time. They rusted through almost immediately after the free replacement period was over (this is ancient history btw, not a new Accord)

That's the message it gives if you have the 8M problem. You don't have to have the memory full to get the problem, it's just that the chances of the problem manifesting itself are less with the less stuff you have in memory. Patch it.
FWIW, I had a couple of Fatal Exceptions that are most likely due to the memory problem, but that was two in almost two months. My memory is around half full.

My Visor has the defective RAM and it crashed a lot when I had the memory nearly full. I hard resetted finally due to a looping palm logo on soft reset. Now I use very very little memory and haven't had crashing problems. I also just installed the patch. So far no crashes..

Why not patch it?, you've got nothing to lose by patching it, but you might lose alot if you don't. If you have to do a hard reset because you didn't patch it then your going to be sorry.
