Datebook+ Woes, Help!

Hello all, help a newbie out here, please...

My Platinum randomly ceased to have alarms on Datebook+. No sound, no screens, no nothing when I have an alarm scheduled to go off.

I uninstalled some custom sounds that I had. Any more suggestions?

Also, I keep getting duplicate entries in my datebook whenever I HotSync. Even if I delete the offending entry (on either the desktop software or the handheld), it always comes back. What am I doing wrong?
