Bought mine this morning at Fry's. All that they had in stock were Metallic Silver, but that's what I wanted anyway. I bought one, discovered that the backlight didn't work, and swapped it for one that did. It's sitting on my desk charging as we speak.

There's an interesting question...how do you get to the ID in ROM? I'm curious...because I've got this "friend" who may have done something along those lines. Of course, "his" warranty's almost up anyway, so "he" really isn't that concerned.
