While not wildly expensive and exotic, I am using an "Eagle Creek" waist pack which is only slightly taller that the Vsr is wide, slightly wider than the Vsr is tall. In other word, I slide my sweet data-baby back into its leather case and into the top opening pouch and securely zip it into place. The main compartment is deep enough that I >>SUSPECT<< both the Vsr and the Stowaway will fit into the main compartment like two books in a slipcase. The sides and bottom of the main compartment are lightly padded. On the away-from-the-body side, there is a flap (with a zippered pocket) which covers a zippered mesh pocket. When not wearing on the waist (REI/Granola-Muncher Style), the waist strap can be wrapped a time-and-a-half around the main compartment and secured. Then it can drop in briefcase or bag. The outer zip pockets are adequate for extra styli, vinyl protector sheets (inside a folded 4"X6" piece of paper), a coiled portable synch cable, and 6 fresh batteries. Bonus Tip: A 2.5"x3" ZipLock bag is ideal for carrying either 4 AA or 6 AAA batteries.
