My wife and I have a Visor Deluxe and Palm IIIx and want to synch with our home PC. Has anyone hooked up both the serial cradle (from Palm) and the USB cradle (from Handspring) to the same machine (running Win 98 and Outlook98) and have the Hotsync perform properly? I've been playing with the Hotsync setup options and it looks like it only supports one connection. Right now I have only the USB connected and working. Can it support both?

I don't know if this is exactly the thing, haven't kept up with this subject myself, but if syncing to the same calendar isn't possible you might try www.wesynch.com --they let you set up a private community that household or group members can sync to. It's a free service. They have some public contacts and calendars but they have the provision for private calendars and contacts also. Have been wondering if anyone else has tried this, as they have very little public content.

Yea, it works great. I was a little hesitant at first, but once it was set up it works fine. I have the USB VD and my wife has a serial IIIx. Using Palm Desktop, I set it up with two user names. I assigned one to my VD and one to her IIIX. Now, when you set either PDA in its respective cradle and hit hot sync, it automatically recognizes which user you are and syncs appropriately. Amazing how well it works and simple it was.
