Hello,

I recently made the move from a Palm IIIc to a Prism. In the past week I have noticed that my battery seems to drain extremely quickly, but I really am not sure if it is doing something wrong, or its just the result of running several colorized programs.

Part of it might be that I have been doing a lot of experimenting with different software, for example, I was running FastCPU - it makes intuitive sense to me that if you overclock your CPU you will use battery more quickly. SO, for the time being, i de-activated it.

I have also been running just a couple of hacks with X-Master. I have five hacks on the handheld, but only one active: virtual kb, trek sounds, easy launch, category hack, and laumEm App Hack. Only Easy Launch is active.
Will hacks like these cause extra drain?

My gut suggests that it is the color games that cause the most battery loss. One game of Pocket Ches Deluxe can drain 10% or more. Sim City also does a number. Again, I am thinking it is the graphic nature of these programs that places more of a burden.

What about graphical launchers like Mega Launch or Launch Em? Will they place more resource drain than the default Application launcher?

How fast should I expect this thing to drop from 99% to 70% or even to 50%?

Should I keep the Prism in the cradle when I am not using it, or should I let it drain down and then do a full re-charge. I thought with the Lithium batterys, which supposedly don't have a memory, you don't need to do that, but I welcome input.

Ok, a lot of questions -- I look forward to some comments.

Thanks,

Mike
