Unhappy

I love my Visor Deluxe. I've had it for about 6 months, now, and it rules. Way better than my crappy old palmIII. Today, I get an alarm on it and when I go to turn it off, the screen won't take input. Here's the upshot. I can run the OS. I can get into apps that are mapped to the hardware buttons. I can do *NO* pen input whatsoever. Not to the screen or the Graffiti area. I have done all flavors of reset. Now, imagine my dismay: I'm looking at a digitizer target in the upper-left corner, and it says, "tap center of target" I CAN'T TAP IT! AGGGGGG! Anybody heard of anything like this? Is my 6 month old visor gonna be RMA-able?

Called Tech. Support. The guy ran me through all the levels of reset (which I had already done, of course). Then said, "Well, we've done all the troubleshooting we're going to do. Call Customer Care. Tell 'em you need an RMA number." Called Customer Care. Did a little duplication of work, giving him the same info as I'd given the Tech Support guy. He found my order number based on my name. Took my serial number, and gave me an RMA. My replacement unit will be here between 6 and 9 working days, (I have faith!) which will be a long time to be without my device....

All in all a really good experience with Handspring. No hold time whatsoever.

I had the exact problem about two weeks ago. I had to get an RMA as well. Only problem is that the "new" unit is not stable. I've had it for three days now and I've had to do three hard soft resets and two hard resets. The problem is that it won't power on. None of the buttons will power on and only do so after the resets. They better send me a new one this time!

I got my new one yesterday. No problems yet, but I'll post if I have any.
