Any rumors about a Higher Resolution Prism?

Now that a color CLIE has been released with 320x320 resolution,
any rumors that handspring will be following suit with a new
visor? A compatibility mode could be offered by blocking 2x2 blocks
of pixels to support 160x160 apps.

I took a look at the CLIE I'm talking about here and basically,
if it weren't for the modules I have and would like to continue
using, I'd switch to it tomorrow.

Handspring, stay on the ball!

From what I've heard here and there the next Visor generation will be called: Snap. I've read also that the communications i.e. internet, phone, etc... will be greatly improved. No mention yet about other characteristics neither the date of release.

Modules

Do you think Handspring will continue to support the current Springboard so that we can continue to use our modules on the new Visor?

Talking

I really don't know. They will really have some pretty mad customers if they don't. I will go buy a Palm with SD if my current springboards would be no good with any newer Handspring devices. I'll sell my Prism in invest in SD technologies. Panasonic SD I/O is going to be a industry standard. Guess we will wait and see..

I would get a Clie in a second if I didn't have my:
* Mp3player
* Backup Modlue
* Eye Module
* Eye Modlue 2
* 2 x 8 meg Flash Modlues
* Targus Sound Recorder Module
* My CF adapter Card.

And I would do it in a second because I have a Viao Picture Book and a Sony Digital Camera....

I hope Handspring is listening to all our comments.

Personally, I thought it was a drawback to create a new "module" with the Edge. My Minstrel S wouldn't work unless I use the sled which makes everything clunky.

I'm sure Handspring will come up with something cool. I'm waiting to get that color unit, but the Sony does look pretty good. My brother-in-law just got one. I like the memory stick compatibility with all Sony products.

Did someone make a Memory Stick module yet? That would be great!

I too will stick with Handspring as long as I can use my existing modules.

If all you wanted was a rumer then fine, here is a rumor:

Handspring will release a new model with a flexable/foldable screen that is 8"x10" and has up to 1024x768 of resolution. They are going to call it the Window.

Now you have a rumor! :-)

I heard the new Visor would be called the Visor 3Win. It will have Three screens. Two swinging 1 X 2 inch side doors that when open become side screens and the main standard size Palm screen with better resolution. You would be able to run different applications on each screen or use all three screens as one for one apps with higher resolution.

Now you have another rumor! :-)

Brooklyn...that's not a rumor actually...inasmuch as it's not a Handspring device that will offer the three screens capability. Take a look at this.
