I may have narrowed it down even further. For me, I just had to uninstall Avantgo desktop client and mobile link from my pc with "add/remove programs" in "control panel". Also I deleted Avantgo, mobile link AND libmal from my Prism. I then rebooted my pc. Then I re-installed the AvantGo client from scratch, hotsync'd to install the three files to my Prism, and finally, hotsync'd again to reload all my channels. WOW! What a difference! Not all channels use color, but the ones that do look amazing!
Good luck everyone, and please don't forget to hotsync first to have a recent backup AND copy that backup folder to a temporary location, just in case!
