I've got a project for the civil engineering department at UNO. They've set up 4 cameras at a test intersection near the college and have the video stream going through fiber into the university building. This fiber is then split into the separate streams and run into a television system where the video can be monitored.

What the department is looking for is a way to stream that video over the Internet, so city officials can have access to it wherever they may be. I'm looking for anyone who may have worked with streaming video. The department would prefer a solution using a Mac G4 Dual 500MHz machine that they have on hand, but it's not a necessity. Please speak up with any ideas for hardware and software recommendations that you may have to do this project. Thanks to all!
