Question Wwogd?

I'm going to be somewhat bedridden (more accurately houseridden) for 2 weeks. [I'm going in to get a lobotomy so I can enter our Executive in Training Program. ] If I were to purchase myself one device for my visor as a get well/make my life easier/just because its a good excuse gift; What are some suggestions?

Here's some background on my current setup:
Visor: Prism w/ 8 meg
Accessories: Visor Phone, Memplug SM 64 Meg card, Matchbook M-100 with 2 CF 16 Meg cards,
Computers: Sony Slimtop PCV-LX900 Pen tablet, cable modem w/ @home service, P3-1 GHz, 128 Meg
Dell Latitude LS notebook,
My trusty old Gateway Pentium 166 MHz
Network: None

Or should I just forget the gadget route and buy a DVD player?

Just wondering WWOGD? [What Would Other Geeks Do?]

p.s. Yorik - sorry for any misspellings, run-on sentences, or dangling participles. It's been a lot of years since honors English, and we engineers tend to speak in acronyms around work.

p.p.s. Any companies out there wanting an in depth review of their products - Send them to me! I might as well do something constructive!

At the risk of incurring wrath, I would suggest going with the DVD player and a stack of DVD's. (The Treo looks too cool to buy some other gadgetry right now.)

except for my name you're okay from what I see.

I'm with K. -- get the DVD player. RCA has a portable one for around $500, so when you're an exec and have to travel to distant foreign lands (like, say, Cleveland) you can bring it with you.

Why, thank you! It was the only thing that could make me change from my previous SC flag avatar. (and dick-richardson was kind enough to help me with it)

Sorry, I couldn't resist the name misspell.

Thanks for the suggestions. Maybe I'll start shopping this weekend.

Skipt the DVD player. Get a PS2 (which plays DVDs) and Gran Turismo 3.

Those two weeks at home will fly by.

I'm with homer, get the PS2, it has the best of both worlds, then raid the local rental place, turn the phone off, close the curtains, and race!

Er...um...I meant:
That J/A dick-richardson insisted on helping me with the motion avatar...did all of the work himself...what an ass...
