Damn, Donna is still going to be around! Personally, I think that she should have been canned during the Handspring days. She was always running her mouth saying stupid things, most of which the public should not have heard at the time. Anybody remember her comments about the Springboard and how HS was getting out of the PDA biz?

So if the latest and greatest turns out to be a Visor Tungsten with the springboard slot--------would I come back from Sony????

Naw, the Springboard is Dead™. That happened when HS decided to not put them into the Treo.

I still do not see the advantage of either SD or the MemoryStick. Both are too small to provide the same type of functionality you could get in the SB. If you want to add WiFi to you T|T via the SDIO slot, you still have something sticking out. Ditto for the Sony. Granted, the Springport Wireless Ethernet Module sticks out, but it is also about 3 years old. You could use other examples such as Bluetooth, etc....

At least the SD is not proprietary the way the MS is. No way you could get me to buy a Sony.

I think that using the Compact Flash form factor would be ideal. There are lots of manufacturers, it is not proprietary (like the SpringBoard and Memory Stick), and it is large enough to do something with.

The T|C looks promising. I would take away that damn keyboard, add virtual Graffiti and give it dual SD slots. That could be a Sony Killer™.

I knew it was just a matter of time.. I had posted a while ago that Handspring was circling the drain.. it was just a matter of when someone flushed.. looks like someone did..
