Every time my Visor hangs/halts/crashes, there is an onscreen reset 'button' right under the error message.
Unfortunately, since it is hung, you can't use it. You've gotta get out the ol' paperclip. This has been my experience with my old Palm 1000, and Palm Pro, as well.
So, why even have the 'button?'

Every now and then, it does actually work. The one that cracks me up is the PaperClip button in ATool--you gotta get to the point where you can launch ATool, get to the Other page, and then click the PaperClip button--if you can do all that, why would you need to soft reset anyway?

Soft resetting lets you remove some things from memory like hacks, close the serial port, and fix other little things that get screwed up from stuff like like improper use of dot shortcuts.
A little like rebooting your Windoze PC every now and then. ;0

Maybe its just my luck but when ever I get an error, a soft nor a warm reset will do the trick. Always comes back with the looping intro screen, resulting in the dreaded hard reset Doesn't happen very often but when it does it really chaps my hide...
