QUESTION about WIRELESS pda's

hi, i would like to ask a few questions about wireless pda's. do u get a connection to the internet? do u have to pay monthly for wireless? are u always connected or do u dial up. can u use apps like browse-it(is that the one that lets u download software form the net?)?
