My Thincom modem works great, now I'm trying to expand my use of it... At my desk, I use HelloDirect's Linestein to provide analog dialtone from my digital phone.

On a PC, it is pretty easy - you set up a DUN session, and configure the modem to not wait for dialtone, then you manually dial the telephone. Unfortunately, I have been unable to do the same with my VDX. I've tried a few things around the AT command X3, which HelloDirect suggests will tell the modem to not wait for dialtone, but it is not working.

Does anyone have any other ideas on how to do this. With the Linestein, I don't have any way to dial out, I can only do the manual dial method.
