Question

I need your help people. All at once Palm Desktop is showing everything three hours later than the handheld. It's like they are in different time zones. Data exchange still works both ways (new data from handheld to desktop is shown at correct time) but all my appointments are out of kilter. . . past and future. There seems to be no way to adjust time zone on the desktop program - - at least I haven't been able to find it. I am also getting an illegal function error message sometimes (but not every time) as well as a Palm Desktop message that an invalid date was entered. Also, I recently had a total hotsync failure for a couple of days and finally fixed it by switching from the USB port to the parallel port cradle. I am thankful that my handheld data seems okay so far, but I am having anxiety about the future. Carrying a pad and pencil around for crying out loud. . . Any Suggestions?

For starters, are the PC and Visor both set to the SAME time zone? If yes, is the PC system clock showing the proper time?

If everything is set properly, I haven't got a clue as to what could be wrong.

Mark, yes, the PC and the Visor are set to EST and seem to be running normally. I guess I have to wipe the PC and re-load from the Visor? Please advise. Thanks for your help. . .
