quote: I'm curious... is this a common problem for others or do most of you rarely run into e-mail longer than 8000 characters? Now for me, about 15% of my e-mail is truncated. (I get big e-mail I suppose.)
I'm sure one of the industry-touting research firms has stats for this; but IMHO, it varies greatly with the individual and what he/she uses E-Mail for. If you only use it as the 21st century equivalent of your telephone answering maching and/or pager, then you may not get many 8K messages.

Personally, I use MultiMail PRO, which has something like a 60K upper limit. My two original reasons for using this program was that it supported multiple mailboxes (up to 4 with the version I have) and IMAP4 (which was used at the company I was with at the time-- I'm a big fan of IMAP4).
