Talking

[size=1]
Just a few days ago, I posted my question about a "Tips & Tricks" section, which I later found out, was
a part of the old "Help" section. Because I am new to this site, I am not sure at all how it did. But it came to
my head that such a thread (it rhymes) would be a good idea. I know many people who come to this site have
excellent ideas, and would probably be able to come up with some really cool ideas. (I know I have some!)
Since it would be it's own thread, more people would probably be encourage to post there.

However, I am not sure if VC ever had a "Tips & Tricks" section. I personally don't find the ones HS gives out are
really basic. I am sure there are VC users out there who know of a ton of cool & helpful things. I'm sure there are
ones out there that are more informative (by holding the datebook button down, you can change the view
more quickly!) than the ones I have seen. Plus, it does not take a genius to figure out that most of the people here
are power users who get the most out of their Visor. (compliment alert!) I think that a t&t section could only
do good things to the VC site. And hey, if it bombs after a few months, we can take it down. But I think that ma-
king it its own thread would probably help, since the "My Visor won't turn on" posts will be far, far
away from posts on say, how to increase CPU speed, etc.

I think it would work very well!

I was wondering is V3 would address this: I remember the FAQ being kinda cumbersome. Perhaps if we had a heavily moderated forum that was hints and faqs, something that had a finite number of threads, I think that would be a great idea, and an especially good place for newbies!

Cool Exactly

Yeah, this would have to be a "no screw ups" thread. But I don't think that would really be too much of a problem.

Well VC3 is supposed to have a much better (and updateable) FAQ that will keep getting improved. Perhaps it would be better to submit things there instead of a T&T forum.

True, but sometimes it's better to hear people's experience with certain things. (i.e. whenever I increased my CPU speed past 20 mhz, the screen flickered sometimes due to the software, and the contrast control got messed up. I solved this by yada yada.) as opposed to straight out FAQ.

Simply because a "live" forum discussion is a whole different experience than a FAQ page.
