Hello,

I've got a soundsgood module. It's very nice et. al. but I'd like to ask you ppl a couple of question on it:
Do you experience various crashes while using it? What usually happens is that the visor "freezes" i.e. the screen is turned on and cannot be turned off, the digitizer is dead and the hardware buttons don't function (i.e. a reset is required), but the module continues to work and is accessible through its hardware buttons. I believe that the problem is caused by the Targus keyboard driver... Any ideas?

Moreover, didn't good.com promise fresh updates (WMA, running programs directly from the module etc)? There hasn't been a single update has there? Should we pester them about it?

Finally, I'm trying to get the module to work under linux (which already has solid USB visor support provided in the kernel(. I've requested an SDK / API docs from good.com but they've refused... Is anyone else interested in doing this/can provide some info?

Thank you very mucb in advance,
rohirrim

I got the same problem as yours, everything that you got. I guess SoundsGood could not 'stay' in HS for very long. It cause HS to act up. Manytime I could not sync if SG is in HS.

hi,

i just got my sound good audio player for few days. i now have problem to upload music to it.

in the first two days, everything seems ok, i can load my mp3 files and play it without problem.
only thing puzzle me is the volume wheel. based on the manual, it say that if i push down it will launch
the audio player on my visor, but it never did. i.e. i can listen by operating the play/stop button, or next track button or the previous track button but volume button had never auto launched anything.

one time i used up the battery, it then had several soft reset , changed the battery then it go back to normal.

in the fourth day, however, i found that even i snap in the module, the soundgood logo did not come down,
i looks thru the support site in the www.good , i follow the instruction to wipe out the dust (not much you know
after buying for few days) and snap again, once in while it has logo come down, but when start to push the connect button to download the music, it say "fatal error". and i soft reset, hard reset several times, just did not
work, i have seen twice the error message , "MM1 set up application, Dual port RAM failed, sanity check"
and soft/hard reset again and again, but no luck.

so i can listen my first uplaod of music now but without the ability to renew it.

can you tell me how can i fix this problem ??

(by the way, i try to register this product, but the register website just doesn't work, pls try to fix it)

i've had mine since the first week of the price drop and have had none of these problems. my SG stays in my visor 24/7 (i have no other modules yet). i use it at least once a day (for jogging) and then whenever i go out on the town during tranport (public trans, not driving. )

i had a prob with the good desktop once not recognizing the visor as being in the cradle, but all i did was close it and re-open it.

i also have a stowaway, with no interference.

ditto.

i sometimes have sync problems ... but that happens even when i don't have the soundsgood springboard in there = hotsync problem in general ... actually i have USB problems in general, so i don't think it's soundsgood related ...

I don't think pestering will do any good. Their website was recently redesigned, and it claims that they're now 'focusing on the enterprise'. So my guess is that they've gotten out the springboard business.
