How often should expect a lockup-->reset?

I bought a new Edge and out of the box I had to soft reset it in the cradle just to get it going.
Ever since then it seems like I have to soft reset it once a day, sometimes more, and maybe once a week I have to hard reset it.

Since this is my first pda I'm not sure what to expect. Seems a bit excessive though - I only have a few simple 3rd party programs loaded.
I'm still in the warrantee period - thinking of returning it.
What are other's experiences as far as frequencies of lockups?

Lightbulb Infrequent

Hey,

I found out the hard way but the worst thing to put on a palm of handspring are hacks. These make life much easier in some ways for the user but it has it's draw backs. Some programs do not work well with hacks and make the palm or handspring unstable. I do not put hacks on my prism anymore. I had an edge before. My wife inherited mine hackless it has not reset in over a year. The last time my prism reset was about 4 months ago. I used to have to hard reset at times when I had hacks on my machine. Sorry to be so confusing. All in all return your edge. They may send you a refurbished one so beware. If you did not get it from handspring return it to the store.
