unless you set off a gamma bomb in the Arizona Desert and get caught in the blast while saving the life of some punk kid who wandered onto the testing grounds.

I prefer Christopher Walken's version of it.

No, but it does have three eyes.

If there wasn't an inherent need deep inside you for VC, you wouldn't be addicted K.C., don't blame these electrons!

(Yes, I did notice how you brought it back to the subject. I wonder how long it will take to veer off course again!)

Perhaps I need some Gamma Ray treatments.

Or maybe I should cut off that feature that emails me whenever someone replies to a thread I've subscribed to!

I much prefer the thrill of hunting through all new threads! I've gotten used to not sleeping much anyway over the last eight years (my two year old still needs a diaper change at least once a night)

I've been in the habit of checking in quite regularly, but it's been difficult with my computer down constantly because I can't get friggin' Linux going. Damn computers to hell.

Inanimate, yes. But that doesn't mean the damn thing isn't conniving. Something this irritating has to be doing it intentionally.

Although I don't consider myself an animist, I totally agree with you. I had a car once that definitely had a personality, and it wasn't a nice one! (It died a lonely death many years ago in the Hill country outside Austin.)

Main Entry: animism Pronunciation: 'a-n&-"mi-z&m
Function: noun
Etymology: German Animismus, from Latin anima soul
Date: 1832
1 : a doctrine that the vital principle of organic development is immaterial spirit
2 : attribution of conscious life to objects in and phenomena of nature or to inanimate objects
3 : belief in the existence of spirits separable from bodies
- animist /-mist/ noun
- animistic /"a-n&-'mis-tik/ adjective

from Merriam-Webster's Dictionary

edited to add word definition.
