Cool

After the mixed review of my last idea (one I truly think would make the Visor the ULTIMATE device) , here's a few that I think could REALLY make it to production one day!

1) AudioVisor
After hearing many complaints about the barely-adequate built-in speaker for Palms/Visors, I think I've found a viable solution: a dual-hinge flip-cover that attaches VIA the Springboard slot that would double as a speaker when plugged in (duh), no matter if it's covering the screen or flipped up while using the Visor!

Advantages:
* Tealmovie would immediately become the worlds coolest palm app.
* Could possibly put to use the Microphone!
* Enhance Gaming.
* Louder Alarms (making it a useful alarm clock!)
* 360 sound with Flat-Panel speaker technology. (it's now quite cheap)
* Ultra-thin form factor (could possibly fit in the slip case that the VDX on up comes with!)
* Headphone Jack adapter / clip for Jamming with you MiniJam, or Sounding good with your Soundsgood!

What do you think? Sure, it would not give you Mp3 playing capabilities, but the Netmite Audio Player would give you something... well...... decent!

2) VisorFan
Am I the only person who thinks this has some potential? I mean, a plug in fan to give you a nice breeze while you're in Florida with your VDX, or in on a hot summer day, or heck, while you're in an airplane whose air vents are as potent as Bob Dole is before he gets his dose of viagra, and you're gasping for air?

Even better, I'm sure someone could come up with a hack to increase fan speed / decrease fan speed while speeding up/slowing down on a game such as.. say, VRally! It'd add another dimension of interactivity! (If you're smart enough to simply buy the App, not the module! )

3) VTV

Someone has already mentioned something similar, but in the spirit of the now-dead Kerbango (by 3com, ironic isn't it?) , what if there was a module that could wirelessly pick up webcasts on your Visor AND pick up TV signals? Sure, those of us who cannot affort to shell out $450 for a Prism wouldn't get the full experience, but if you want to tune into a newcast, or want to watch some episode, do you really care so much?

I like all of these, and would pay a reasonable price, provided the functionality was there.
I believe there's already a fan app for the Palm OS that you can set to l,m,h. Of course, it doesn't provide a breeze or anything ... but it looks cute, and looks still count for something, don't they?
A real fan, though ... could get sweat dripped into the crevices of the unit, no?.... Unless a small water tank was provided for the Visor, w/one of those squirt-gun fan blade things that you could spray at yourself and ...

I dont' know about the fan idea, something about running a fan off of 2 AAA batteries may drain pretty badly. The TV idea would be killer, as long as the module isn't gigantic but judging form the size of my 2.2in TV minus its batteries and screen you might be able to fit the TV module into something pretty small. The Speaker idea would be cool too. Maybe something for the flipcover? maybe it could have a small wire that you would plug into the module that would "grab" the sounds from the visor then play them out through its headphone jack. Then if you have headphones you wouldn't need the flipcover speaker and you could listen on those. You could also plug the flipcover into your minijam or soundsgood

Fan: Bad Idea. On 2 batteries, won't be strong enought to make any difference.

TV: Nice idea, but that's been around a while.

Speaker: Really nice (and fresh) idea.

Cool Pricing?

The Fan is up in the air. ( pun, ha ha ) but after owning one of those "Fans on a rope" that you can carry in your pocket, I think it'd be possible.

Flat Panel Speaker / Cover :
$50.00 first year ?

PocketTuner (SB WEB TELEVISON):
$120.00 first year?

VisorFan:
$30.00 first year?
