What I do, is use my NiMH batteries until I get the message that I need to put new ones in... then I switch them with batteries that have been charged for maybe less than a week (I'm switching batteries about every week (heavy, heavy use of my Neo), but I make sure the batteries are run down to where the Neo says change them using the NiMH setting.
