Question

In my contacts/addresses on Outlook, I have about 21 catagories and MANY of my entries have more than one catagory.

Someone told me that there was a way to get those 21 catagories onto my Visor and to get the Visor to allow more than one catagory per entry. He said you do it somehow on your hotsync software on the desktop.

Anyone done this?
Figured out how to do it?
Please let me know!!!

I will try to help you a little. You can get all of your categories to synch between your visor and Outlook on your PC. You need to launch PocketMirror (the software that runs the Hotsynch) and change the settings. This will then copy the categories to Outlook. I don't think that you can get your visor to accept multiple categories, though. That is the one drawback.

Here's the routine.

Start/Programs/PocketMirror/PocketMirror Settings This will launch Conduit Manager. Highlight your user name, and click "Settings". Then select "Outlook Contacts" and click Change. Click the Miscellaneous Tab. Then click on "Map Handheld Category to Outlook's "Categories" field. That will synch the two together.

But I think that this is where the linkage stops. You might be out of luck trying to get it to read multiple categories. You can't set the Visor to store multiple categories for a single address record.
