Question

I need help from anyone who has access to both a Palm V stylus and a Visor. I can get locally a set of three Palm V styli for ten bucks, and I want to use them for my Visor. I know the Palm V stylus won't fit in the Visor silo--I'm going to keep it in my case. I'm concerned more about the reset pin. Can someone tell me whether the Palm V stylus' pin is long enough to reset a Visor? (I bought the Pentopia Chameleon a while back and had to return it b/c the reset pin was too short.)

I appreciate anyone's help. Thank you.

Nope. Even shorter than the Pentopia's.

If you're still interested, the Visor version of the Chameleon is now available (but not on the Pentopia web site). See this thread.

Talking wow...resurrected

Thanks for the post. I actually saw this new Chameleon stylus at CompUSA and thought of getting it, but I already have the custom stylus, and the tips made by PDA Panache are especially hard and write extremely well on WriteRights. I couldn't be sure that the Chameleon has a similar tip and so decided against buying it.

Thanks again. It's been nearly a year since I needed to check this thread!

No problem, it's been fun to spout about finally finding the stylus I've wanted all along!

The Chameleon does have a good, hard tip. And it works well on my WriteRights.

One cool thing is that the tip is not only spring-loaded, but the "springyness" can be adjusted from really firm to loose!

I'm glad you've got something that works for you.
