Modifiy Active Armor case?

So what do you think...could it be done and not look like a hack job? The prism is only about an 1/8 of an inch deeper, and the Active Armor case is made of soft rubber. In fact, the sides look really thin with openings...like it's supposed to stretch.

Has anyone tried squeezing a Prism into one or have any opinions on whether this could be done with a bit of cutting?

Won't work...

The Prism plastics are too thick to fit in the ActiveArmor case. Even if you could stretch yours enough, the power button on the Prism is on the Right (not the left like on the VisorPro, Deluxe, Neo, etc.). Therefore, you would have to remove the Prism frequently to turn it on/off.

Overall, it just wouldn't work. The case would need to be re-engineered to fit the dimensions of the Prism.

My little girl is 3. She can already navigate my VisorPrism and knows where to tap! She has mastered TealPaint (including changing colors, tools, etc.), not to mention several games. In the Avatar, she is playing some tunes on the SoundsGood MP3 player. It's amazing how fast kids can learn if you give them a chance. Now if I could just keep her from making those long distance calls on my VisorPhone...

hot exacto knife?

That power button problem is no biggy. A person could just use a hot exacto knife and slice a small hole to access the power button.

1.) Stretching it to fit could easily over-tax the rubber and cause it to break down prematurely- like an over-stretched rubber band.

2.) Such a tight fit on the Prism could cause some problems with the Prism's case. To compound the problem, the tight fit would also thin the rubber out and transmit more of the shock to the Prism directly. Less protection combined with a very tight fit would probably mean worse structural damage in a fall.

3.) Trying to carve out some of the rubber might work- but if the case design specs are such that it needs a certain thickness for structural integrity, then removing material would significantly weaken the case.

Overall, I think you would have better luck modifying the Fellowes bumper case. You could quite possibly cut out the back and rebuild it with thin 'skinned' foam or Neoprene.
