Edge Adapter for the GoType!?
Guys, I have built for less than $3.00(ea). 3 Universal Adapters that basically 'uncross' the wires from the Edge to the normal serial cradle. All of which lock into place on the 'normal' cradle and hold the edge in place as well. Its amazing to me HS didn't come out with this.
However, although my adapter design is solid, compact, etc. It doesn't work.
I've used the pin layout charts posted in various threads, and I've tested the wires and they seem fine. All because I want to use my GoType, not the Stowaway.
When I try to hot sync, or get the GoType to acknowledge the Edge, nothing. Which brings me to my question...maybe I just crossed the wires up. Are the pin layouts posted online, as I look at the back of the Edge or from the front?
Thanks.
VDx Cradle Connector (I'm assuming same layout on GoType)
1 RXD - Receive Data
2 KBD* - Keyboard Detect
3 HS1* - HotSync Interrupt
4 GND - Ground
5 USB_D- - USB Data-
6 USB_D+ - USB Data+
7 VDOCK - Cradle Power
8 TXD - Transmit Data/Power
Edge Cradle Connector:
1 RXD - Receive Data
2 TXD - Transmit Data/Power
3 KBD* - Keyboard Detect
4 HS1* - HotSync Interrupt
5 USB_D- - USB Data
6 USB_D+ - USB Data
7 VDOCK - Cradle Power
8 GND - Ground
9 PASSTHROUGH1 - Pass Through
10 PASSTHROUGH2 - Pass Through
11 PASSTHROUGH3 - Pass Through
12 PASSTHROUGH4 - Pass Through
Is that when looking at the back of the Plat/Dlx

Same question for the Edge.
