Yahoo news article. Ordered mine over the phone on Day 1 (Sep. 14). Gee, was it that long ago?

Cool

I followed Jeff & Donna's move from 3Com/Palm to Handspring via their website (initially JD Technologies) and just kept checking back there until there was "life".

For a time, I didn't think there was ever going to be "life". Now that there is, I wish they would've waited until they were better organized to handle their launch.

I read a small article in the November 1999 PCWorld magazine. I was thinking of upgrading my PC and saw the article and then surfed the www.handspring.com site and fell in love. I had been considering a Timex Datalink watch, then thought about a 3Com Palm and decided to order the Visor! ;-)

Cool

Hear about it at SlashDot.
I was in the market for a PDA, but $400+ was a little too rich for my blood. The low price of the Visor hooked me, and the Springboard set the hook.

I heard about it over dinner when we were visiting with friends in Sonoma. She writes a tech column for a computer magazine, and had one of the demo units with her. She pulled it out to take notes about something we were discussing, and showed it to us. I had been considering getting a Palm Pilot for a while, and after seeing it, and reading some more about it when I got back home, I was sold.

I think Nitpicking Dept., was sharing brain cells with me. I saw the interview with Dubinsky. It was on NBC Nightly News with Brokaw. Don't remember where I saw that the site was live, but by the time I found them, it was 2 days after start (9/16 for me).

A USA Today ad was the first place I read about the Visor. Soon after that, the discussion was going around work about the new PDA company. I did some research on the Handspring web site and ordered the Visor Deluxe on September 24. I am still impatiently waiting for its arrival.

Since then about 4 people have ordered and received the Palm 3x. I am still getting ribbed about my order.

I read about it on CNN. Ordered 29 September. Waiting with 68 percent of you, according to the on line poll.

From a fellow grad student. I'm in my second year of B-school and a lot of the MBAs have Palmpilots. I bought a used Pilot 1000 and was using it for a few months, and I was asking other students about the Palms they were using. Most of them were Palm III's, and I was considering getting one, then one student told me to check out something called Handspring. I've had my Visor for about a week, and it's a hoot.

I first heard about the Visor on ZDTV's Fresh Gear show. They talked about how much less expensive it was compared to the 3Com Palm V and it's Springboard expansion possibilities.

I started to take notice, and found this discussion group....it didn't take long and I too ordered one....just got it today 11/29!!
