All of this for "just" $134.99 It looks like it has NO storage upgrade-ability. This makes it a glorified soundsgood module...

Yes, it was actually on the VC main page as a news item a few days ago. You can buy it directly from Innogear as well as from EBay.

I asked Innogear if the SixPak has similar development models they can sell, but they told me that it never went past conception. It would not all fit in a flush module.

Well, foolish or not, I couldn't pass up owning such a rare module...regardless of people's opinions on its value.

So...it should be here on Friday. My question is that since its a flush springboard, like the Soundsgood...would I be able to use the Soundsgood energy clip to power it? Just a thought anyway.

I received my MiniJam Trio yesterday. It works great, the sound is incredible...but that's not saying much these days, since MP3 (and MMC) technology is amazing by itself...

I have the following small nits, however...

1.) Not enough memory (when will we EVER have enough memory for anything?? ). This thing has 64 MB, which holds an hour of music...enough for my daily 30-min walks, but still...IMHO, a good portable MP3 player should provide 3-4 hours of CD-quality music (about 256 MB or so of 128-kb/s MP3's)...hopefully, Innogear (or somebody) will develop a (flush!!) springboard module with that kind of memory...

2.) File transfer speed. Using my USB (1.1) cradle, it took about 15-20 min to transfer about 19 MB of music to the Trio, and this was only a third of its capacity...

3.) I have MusicMatch Jukebox on my desktop PC, with a very extensive library of MP3's. For those of you who have MM, there is supposed to be a way to "send" playlists from MM to portable devices via plug-ins...there is supposed to be a MiniJam plug-in for MM (on their website), but I can't seem to get it to work for my Trio (I wonder if this plug-in works only with the original MiniJam, and not the Trio...) I still need to contact Innogear support about this...will let you know if I get this to work...

I think all development for Visor's is dead...including springboards.

The only thing what would give you that capacity is the original MiniJam, and like you said, that's not flush.

I'm excited to get it, but I was under the impression that the Trio is sold as an unsupported module...so you got what you got....so to speak.

Received my Trio today as well. Boy is it small, (never owned the soundsgood.)

Seems very well made, and boy to I like the box picture! Yowser!

Well, I can appreciate your enthusiasm, but its done. HS is down to 2 'Visor' units, both B&W, and the Platinum died and was resurrected, but only b/c the Neo is gone.

Treo's are clearly HS's focus, and now that even the Treo 90 is discontinued, they only have connected Treo's.

They even announced in a press release many many months ago that development of the Visor line had ended. What more do you need...its over.

Pick up those bargain priced springboards off of e-bay and have fun with them...that's what I'm doing.

If anyone was interested in licensing the springboard technology, I think they would have done so by now.

The only strong and (don't forget) lucrative community has been the medical community. The last new module I have heard about about was a medical module. However, even the Springboard PDR is going on clearance.

Even the Presenter-to-Go that has versions in other form-factors have had their Springboard version development and upgrade haulted (I asked about slide pre-view similar to how Docs-to-Go does it and just as PtG does it in other versions, but they said they won't do it.)

I would'nt hold my breath for any new Springboard modules. Just like my HP RPN caluclator, I hope my Prism and springboards last a long long time because I will not be able to buy new replacements.

The flash covered up the Trio module, but there it is...


I really do like this module. I wish it would have made it to market, as it could have had a nice impact.

For anyone havning trouble sync'ing MusicMatch Jukebox to the MiniJam Trio, here's the info I received from InnoGear tech support...this got me on the right track...

I had to test this out myself but as long as you have the latest MusicMatch plug-in for the MiniJam it will work..

You can get the updated plug-in by going to the "Options" menu in MusicMatch Jukebox and select "Add New Features". This will take you to the MusicMatch Accessories web page. Click on the "Portable MP3 Players" link. Click on the "InnoGear MiniJam" link to download the plug-in. Once the plug-in file is downloaded, double-click on it to install the new plug-in. If you have the latest (7.0+) MusicMatch the plug-in installs automatically when you click on the MiniJam picture.

To use the Plug-In, in MusicMatch select "File" --> "Send to device" --> "Download Playlist to MiniJam...". This will open a new window that will allow you to select songs and send them to the MiniJam.

I think i just noticed in this new version the last option (Send playlist to MiniJam) is not there. It seems that it will automatically detect the type of player.

Now you must also be sure that you are using the Trio right. To transfer you must have it in the Visor and in a USB cradle. And you must also be running MiniLoader on the Visor in order to get a connection.

This is similare to what you do with MJLoader....

To use MJLoader:

1. Place MiniJam in Visor.
2. Place Visor in the USB Cradle.
3. If the Visor is off turn it on.
4. Start the MiniLoader Program on the Visor.
5. Start the MJLoader program on your PC.
6. After the connection is established, use the add button to open a window that will allow you to navigate to where your MP3 files are on your Hard Drive (Probably "C:\My Music\").
OR
You can use Windows Explorer to drag and drop music from your Hard Drive to the appropriate card slot window.

7. Press the Commit button to start the file transfer.
