Just received my EB Slipper Prism. Ordered it last week, got it today. I really love this case. I know that there will never be a perfect case, but this case is really nice. I got the one with the belt clip and it is so nice to be able to carry it around without having to take it of the leather sleeve and then remove the plastic cover.

I would really like to have the Vaja case with the magnetic closure, but I just could not justify almost twice the cost. That would be the only change I could recommend. Dump the velcro for magnets. Despite that tiny little gripe, I love this case.

Old Deluxe EB Slipper case for prism

I was almost buying the EB slipper prism after upgrading to the prism when I saw this post saying that you can actually fit the prism into the Old Deluxe EB Slipper case. I tried that and found that it actually work (you will need a bit more strenght on the first try. but after the leather stretched, it fits quite nicely). I also read that the new slipper prism case requires you to unzip a zipper at the base to synchronise. For me, I think that it is unneccessary trouble and I am happier with the old slipper case as I can syn. & charge the battery with the case on easily. There is a drawback though. The charging LED is covered by the leather so I use launch'em 3. It allows me to see that the prism is charging at the battery meter. I am thinking of punching a very small hole for the LED later.

I do not bother unzipping the case to charge it, I just take it out. It is so easy to remove the Prism from the case that it is no big deal. What do you do to turn the Prism on and off, considering the power button is on the opposite side?

using deluxe slipper case for prism

although the switch is covered by the leather as well, it can be switched on/off easily by pressing on the leather above the switch . It looks quite nice actually with all the button exposed except the on/off switch. As I hotsyn & charge the prism quite frequently, the ability to leave the PDA in the case while doing that is quite important to me as I don't like to keep taking it out (I also read in some post that one of the common cause of broken screen is due to removing the PDA from the case & dropping it when doing so esp. if the case fit tightly) just to install some program or to charge it. Anyway, It may be just my personal preference but that is also the main reason why I got the EB slipper case for my deluxe in the very first place.

I just got my EB Slipper Case today & it's great! I'm still taking my Prism out of the case to sync & charge, though, becuase it's kind of awkward/bulky. Maybe after it stretches out a little....

But it's much sleeker & nicer than the Handspring case I was using!

I've had mine for about 2 weeks and am very pleased with it. It looks great and is much easier that the case and plastic cover that ships with the prism.

is it really sleek?

hey, now its christmas time and im wanting my 'rents to get me a new case for my visor. im wanting something sleek...that adds almost NO bulk to the prism seeing as its already a big unit. is the eb slipper prism that sleek? does it fit nicely on the belt or in the pocket? thanks

I have both the Vaja and EB Slipper for my Prism (don't ask why I have both - it's a sickness). They are both great cases, but on the whole I prefer the EB, at least for the Prism. It fits better, and seems to offer more protection.

That said, the leather on the Vaja is sweet. Not that the EB material is cheap or chintzy, but the Vaja material is really a cut above. Still, on the whole I'd go with the EB - nice, better fit, and cheaper to boot.

Only problem with EB Slipper

The only problem I have with the Slipper for my Pro is that it doesn't have a cut out for the silent alarm/charging led. I had to do some minor surgery so I can see the charging status.

It synches in the case ok but it doesn't lock in.

I've been waiting for over a month for my Slipper for my Prism/Visorphone. They tell me there has been some sort of problem with manufacturing/wrong size. Hopefully, the case will be here later this week.

The Vaja - at least my Vaja - doesn't synch in the case. The leather at the bottom bunches up at either side, it keeps it from sitting flush enough in the cradle.

I haven't tried it, but I think you could use a Stowaway with the case.

In either case, it's not a big deal - the unit slides in and out of the case easily, so it's not a problem. My only real beef with Vaja is that they marketed the case as synchable, but it isn't.

The Vaja leather is not cheap in person - it's actually very nice, nicer than the EB Slipper (not that the Slipper's bad).

And no, I'm not selling my Vaja. I don't love it, but I like it just fine.
