Unhappy

I'm using the Xircom modem with my prism and keep getting a good handshake with my Worlnet ISP but I get kicked off with an authentication error. Anybody know how to resolve this?

For starters, got into Network Prefs and make sure your username is entered in the following format:

<username>@worldnet.att.net

I don't think it will work without the @worldnet.att.net.

Sabre76,

Are you sure you are using your "login name" and not your email address? You can check for your login name in the file "account.txt" located in the "Wns" subdirectory of your directory for the AT&T WorldNet program.

Talking Worldnet Authentication Error Fixed

I fixed the problem. Here's what I did.

click the MultiMail icon that appears when the modem is installed.
click the top section marked "MultiMail"
click "options"
click "mail server"
Next to Username, type your POP3 user name. This is NOT the number version of the user name. It's the same one you use when you login for email on another browser. Do not type "@worldnet.att.net"
Next to Password, type your POP3 password. It's the same one you use when you login for email on another browser. this is not the net server password.

This did the trick. I'm psyched!
