Question

I use Write Rights and I'm beginning to really hate them. Are there any better alternatives to these like NuShield and Protective Shields (the ones found on vsps.com)?

Exclamation Nuff Said!!!

This topic has been beaten to death. Your best bet is to search the discussions for "screen protectors". Be prepared to sift thru alot of information.
The answer to your question is in previous discussions.

Angry I invented this message board

If you wish to search for screen protectors, you must pay me licensing fees for using this message board. I invented message boards, and the entire concept of "searching" for something. Before I had the idea to search, people just looked until they found something. But that looking could not be directed enough to be called a search. Back in 1923, I secured a patent on computer searches, guessing that one day there would be computer to search. My lawyer will be contacting you shortly.....

Post Flex-o-glass is best and cheapest

I tell everyone who asks about screen protectors to use a product called Warp's Flex-o-glass. The particular "strain" of flex-o-glass I use on my Palm IIIx is the greenhouse film -- crystal clear (see link below). I buy the 4mil stuff. Many hardware stores carry this stuff at .99 cents/foot.

Look at the Warps link below and see the extra benefits of using greenhouse film on your Visor ;-) (no, I don't work for Warps)

--More UV protection - means longer film life because it blocks harmful UV rays that can damage plastic...and your crop.

--Optimum light transmission - lets more direct growing light in, while keeping harmful UV rays out

--Special resins - keep it flexible in cold weather, yet stable under hot conditions.

--Stays cleaner - attracts less dust, washes off easily.

On a more serious note, I cut a Palm IIIx-sized sheet 1.5 years ago and have been using the same sheet ever since, no need to cut into my 99 cent stash! It's bullet-proof, clings via static. You will need to do some air bubble-removal work to begin, but between the work you do and the passage of time, most air bubbles will disappear.

Note that you will always have air bubbles between protector and screen as long as debris (tiny fibers) remain on screen when you apply the protector. I don't know how to get a screen completely clean before application of the protector.

The stylus might feel a bit "spongy" on screen, but it works for me. Some have had trouble finding Flex-o-glass at hardware stores. You can always call Warps. Anyway, 99 cents is worth it for a test, no?

JakeBlues2

Cease and desist immediately.

I have obtained a patent on sarcastic replies.

Based on the income I will receive on royalties from screen protector discussions on Visor Central, I am planning on hiring Bill Gates to mow my lawn.
