A search for HotMail returned several threads... I'm sure the answer is in there somewhere.

Lightbulb

I personally didn't find any of the Hotmail access strategies listed in previous threads 100% satisfying. The MSN Mobile version of Hotmail (the most popular solution) limits you to the Inbox folder. I keep a few custom folders, and like to file things immediately.

So I reevaluated my "need" to use Hotmail. Rather than use Hotmail, I started using my POP account for wireless email, and changed the options in my Hotmail to include POP mail. That way, I can send and receive email with the Prism, and still access my email via Hotmail on PCs.

My ISP, Earthlink/Mindspring allows you to create up to 5 email addresses, and has web-based mail as well, so you can handle all your POP and web-based email with a single alias ([email protected]). I should be able to ditch my four-year-old Hotmail account within a few weeks. You may have similar features on your ISP.

So, to reiterate, the question to ask yourself is: do you really need Hotmail, or do you simply need web-based email? If you're willing to use a different web-based email provider, your ISP may just have what you need.
