Corrosive Contacts

The contacts on the back of my edge seem to be corroding (at least I think they are). Does any have an idea why? If so, would you have any idea how I would fix that? It only happens on the 1st, 3rd, & 4th contacts from the right, when viewed from the back. AHHHH!!!

Re: Corrosive Contacts

You can clean them by gently rubbing with a pencil eraser. A cotton swab with rubbing alcohol (wet, but not dripping) helps with the grime, too. Don't forget the contacts in the cradle, either.

What will swabbing the cradle do? There's nothing wrong with it that I can see.

If anyone knows, how do I get rid of the black stuff on the buttons?

Tarnish

Use a silver polishing cloth to get rid of the tarnish on the buttons. Your stylus is probably tarnished too, it will work on that as well. The tarnish will come back eventually, but I don't think it's a big deal to polish it twice a month. Certainly a lot less often than you have to clean smudges off the screen.
