I have been cursed with the short battery life syndrom 1-3 days per battery. Tech support after an 60+ minute wait suggested removing the batteries for 24 hours. Battery life went from 1 day to two days. The third time the batteries lasted almost three days. After calling and requesting a new unit the unit sat w/o batteries 3 or 4 days. On a whim I replaced the batteries and the unit has run for 4 + days. (yes the batteries were new alkaline every time) The replacement arrived but unfortunally the touch screen is more like a hit screen. So that unit will go back instead.
Question? since tech support is unreachable in less that 60 minutes, does anyone have any ideas what intiates the battery drain and why removing the batteries for multiple days restores the visor battery life. One posible correlation is the drain on 2 of the times occurred after my son played games for 30+ minutes. I must admit that a Palm V is looking very appealing now.

Go to the preferences, I think General, and turn OFF beam receive. I can't post specific data, but I know I noticed a difference in battery life with it turned off.
How many HOURS do you get with it? With mine, I'm guessing roughly 15-20 per set of batteries.
