Angry possible phone scam

BEWARE.

I received a message on my home phone yesterday from a person saying they were from Handspring calling about a problem with my visorphone (I'm having no problem with my visorphone--I love it!) and that he needed my serial number, sim card#, and IMEI number.

Being naturally suspicious, I called tech support at Handspring and they had never heard of this person, nor the number he gave, and futher would never ask for my serial number over the phone or email.

Handspring is looking into this matter. I will post back on any further developments.

It is always a good reminder never to volunteer personal information to someone who calls you unsolicited.
