Thought you guys might want to see this:

Hello,

For order status and shipping date information - please call our toll free
customer service line at 888-565-9393. They have the most recent shipping
information. I'm responsible for Internet marketing activities (such as
graphical interface design, banner advertising, etc.).

Thanks,

Frank Loeffler

Wonderful information huh?

I received a second response from Mr. Loeffler in which he states that they are very busy, know that everyone wants to get their hands on the Visor and that the "order taking systems will improve very soon."

Well, according to the Handspring Club, someone called a CSR and asked about shipping. It seems that the crash of the Web-store has crashed the ordering system, as well. This sort of makes sense, but...

Let's see, supposedly those of us who ordered BEFORE the web-store was up have had their orders shipped to the distributor, right? That means we shouldn't be affected, right?

I wonder how quickly TRG can deliver product and at what price...

I've been back-and-forth with Mr. Loeffler
several times today as to the inconsistency of CSR responses, and evidently he was unaware of the problem. I recieved this reply in the most recent email, which I think is about all we can expect. He was unwilling to pin down a date other than "October" in earlier mail. (so it is probably not productive to continue mailing him)

Thanks for the information, I'm going to send your message to our CSR
manager to make sure people are giving out consistent information (which has
been October - but not specific dates in October).

Thanks again,

Frank Loeffler

You know, it would be nice if Handspring put up a "What's New" section or link on their front page and kept it updated often with current news on shipping details, etc. I doubt that would require too much work. I don't mind if they're having slight problems (they're a new company), but it'd be nice to atleast know what's going on with our precious little devices.

So, dear Handspring, give us our Visors or we will take over your HQ's and force you to use WinCE machines! BAHAHA.

Ahem. Sorry, all this waiting is causing me to lose my sanity.

Cheers,
-Tears in Rain

Melonboy: please read my post above.

FYI, Mr. Loeffler is sending that email out automatically when he sees questions about shipping in the headers. (he's probably being bomarded) I know that _I_ recieved an identical message, and that he did not read my original message until I mailed him back to clarify what I was asking. We exchanged several messages, culminating in the one I posted earlier this evening.
