Question Importing vCard (.vcf) files into Outlook 2000

I sync my Visor with Palm Desktop 4.0.1. I want to export my address data to Outlook 2000 (for access via my mobile phone).

I've exported my address data from Palm Desktop as a .vcf file, and attemped to import it into the Outlook 2000 Contact folder. However, Outlook only imports the FIRST entry (out of about 1900 records)! The .vcf file that I made seems OK, since I can import it back into Palm Desktop with no problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cool

Outlook never has had the best import/export conduit.

Try using comma-delimited.

Also search Microsoft's knowledge base to see if there is a fix or other solution.

I've done this using Palm Desktop 4.0 for the Mac and imported into Entourage X so perhaps this procedure will work for you.

1) Select the group of contacts you want to "export" from the Palm Desktop.

2) Make a new folder on your hard drive and drag the contacts from the Palm Desktop and drop them into the folder. On the Mac, Palm Desktop 4.0 will "export" the contacts as .vcf files by default. Check the Palm Help file to see if that's the case in Windows as well.

3) If they do get "exported" as .vcf files by the Palm Desktop, just drag them from the new folder and drop onto your contacts window in Outlook.

Hope this works for you.
