Unhappy built in backup battery visor pro dead?!

i'm afraid my built in backup battery does not function correctly, because when i change the batteries i loose all data, no matter how quickly i change them.... anyone a clue?

Did you say in your Pro? Doesn't that have rechargeable LiIon batteries?

In any event, there is no "backup" battery in any Visor. The models that use replaceable batteries utilize a capacitor to maintain power during battery changes. This is supposed to provide at least a minute of reserve power to facilitate the change. There have been numerous reports of these capacitors not functioning properly. Also, I've found that while changing batteries, it's possible for the Up button to be pressed which may cause a reset. Try placing the Visor face down on a folded towel and see if that helps.

It does not help the batteries at all, but it will make your Visor feel all warm and cozy... Don't use the cheap kitchen towels, a big fluffy bath towel is much better...
