Ok, I have decided to buy a Visor Deluxe. Personally, I think it looks like a great product. However, I just can't decide on colors. I have pretty much narrowed it down to Blue or Graphite. What do you guys think I should get.
Also, are there any extra accesories (Better stylus, write writes, etc.) that I souhld buy (or ask to recieve for XMAS)? Thanks.

You have named the 2 most popular colours for the VDx...take a look at the new survey on VisorCentral's front page. I'm still waiting for my VDx, in Ice. The blue is very nice too, but you should know that the back half of all the coloured VDx's and the Hotsync cradle are Ice only.

Yes, unfortunatly, that is my problem. Had one color been substantially more popular than another, that might help, but that isn't the case here, Blue and Graphite are about the same on the poll. So, I am having a hard time deciding. I originally wanted to get blue, but the Graphite model looks more professional, so I just don't know what to do.

You have to consider what line of work you are in, I suppose. I work with children and am allowed to dress very casually. I have no need for a "professional" look, so I ordered a Blue Visor Deluxe. Green was my second thought, but I have seen the blue one in person and really liked it. I wanted something that would look fun and be fun. I can't wait to get mine in!

Cool

Can't help with your color choice but can suggest that you check out the following for stylus alternatives and let Santa know which you prefer.

First check out stylusplus.com for their 4-way pen and stylus. I love mine. You can easily select a stylus, black pen, red pen or pencil tip from this slender and attractive device. It costs $19.95.

Also check out Panache model Visor B Visor Stylus for $14.95 at pdapanache.com Their description of the stylus is as follows:
"The PDA Panache custom stylus upgrade for your Handspring Visor fits in your Visor's
stylus slot so it's always there when you need it. Custom made just for Handspring Visor's, these deluxe styli are all-metal with black or chrome finish. Handy reset pin hidden under top-cap. EasyView orange screen-safe writing tip."

I have one of these and like the heavy feel (it must be made of brass and then painted black or chrome plated - your choice.) This is a high quality stylus and it fits in your Visor slot.

Hope that helps.

Hmmm... I'm a professional who has ordered a blue VDx... I can't imagine what it would be like working in an environment where that Visor would be considered unprofessional. Yeeecchhh!

I'm a Clinical Pharmacist working in a large teaching hospital, so I ordered green.

I too struggled with the color issue. When consulting with various clients or in meetings, I didn't want to be perceived as playing with a toy, so I ordered the GVD. This will be my first PDA. Maybe with the next generation Visor I'll be ready to show my true color(s). Or perhaps someone will make color "skins" for the GVD so we could change up from time-to-time.

Color was a big decision for me also. I work in a professional atmospher but could not bring myself to go with a GVD. Not that gvd looks bad, I just felt i wanted something fun. So i compromised and went with what I felt was the second most professional color, an IVD. It does not stand out as much as green blue or orange, yet its more fun than black. Just my 2 cents.

I went with the ICE VD mainly because the USB cradle matches my blue and white PowerMac G3.

I ordered Ice. I agree that it is more professional than the colors, but it also is more fun.
While we're at it, I like the solid color body, and somebody had mentioned the idea that Springboards should be made in Ice as well. I bet thet the manufacturers will pick up on this, as it will look good with the color VDx's.

As a glassblower I definately don't have to appear professional, but as a business owner I do. Regardless of that I bought a green VDX after narrowing it down to blue or green (I decided not to go with blue 'cause I felt that more people would be getting blue ones and I like standing out). The colors in these things don't remind me of the I-mac, they make me think of the Micronaut figures (they're not dolls, they're ACTION FIGURES!)I had in the seventies.

Wow! You're right! I had Micronauts too, and the colors do remind me of them!

Maybe I'm just young and impetuous, but orange was the best color for me from the moment I saw it.

I am a professional (DoD contractor) but the work atmosphere is surprisingly casual. I'm not too worried about having to appear 'professional' with the orange VDx... I let my performance dictate that

But then again, I tend to stand out, and perhaps my coworkers expact that from me

Just my take on it...

I ordered the Blue because I like blue.

It looks sharp, less like a toy than the orange or green and because I am the boss and not worried that my co-workers will think it is unprofessional.

If you like the color, buy it. Most people with PDA's are disapointed that color choices were not available when they boughtr theirs. GO AHEAD be the first at your company to express some color in your life!!

VDx is my 1st PDA. Rec'd it 1 month ago today. Thought a lot about the color before I ordered. Got green.

It arrived, I loved it. So I got a green RhinoPak (looks like a backpack for an elf), and then I got a green LLBean briefcase (Christmas came early this year).

I gobbled up the 1st 2MB with every useless *.p* I could find. And I've started to write down *everything*. The smallest details of my life are logged.

I thought the worst was over, but tonight, I've spent hours reading 25,000 headers from comp.sys.palmtop.pilot, then I found visorcentral.com, and I've spent more hours reading about stylii.

Doesn't anybody think this is at all odd?

Or, has anybody else put the HS decal (the one with the sticky front) on the inside of their Visor cover? (With minor trimming, it fits sideways). Now my VDx is a little green billboard.

Aiieeeee!!!

Disclaimer...I'm kind of a stick-in-the-mud ... my wife had to convince me that a subtle dark blue pinstripe in my charcoal grey suit wasn't going wild with color. /disclaimer.

I went with graphite so that the Springboards would match.
