Smile

Not only was I able to proceed, I actually ordered the product (last night). I received an e-missive from PalmGear stating that my order has been shipped. I look forward to playing with it.

Do not despair, you probably hit their site when it was under a high traffic condition. Try again! I look forward to seeing a future thread on how people are using their new EyeModules.

Talking

Ordered mine w/o a hitch! I even had it shipped overnight. Can't wait to try it!

One question: If I take my visor w/ me on vacation and take a bunch of pictures with it, what can use for storage? Will the 8mb sb help solve this? (Not bringing a laptop with me...)

Thanks,
-p

Lightbulb

You can either get an 8 mb flash module or hold out for one of the Innogear modules is you plan to get it anyway: the SixPak will include 8 megs of flash RAM, and the MiniJam has two slots for MMC cards that hold 32 mb each (with 64 mb cards to be released later). The memory is supposed to be used for MP3, but you can use it for other files as well.

Question

This is odd: I checked out IDEO's eyemodule site, and their "Breaking News" page says you can order the eyemodule at Handspring.com. Just out of curiosity, I went to Handspring, and they only show a link to PalmGear's Springboard site.

By the way, James, will VisorCentral be selling this module (at a discount?) any time soon?

We are not currently allowed to sell the eyemodule, but we are working on it.

It will be discounted at an appropriate level.

I had trouble ordering online and so I had to call mine in. I received it today ... not bad ... works best in good light ... smallest b/w works best quality wise ... synching takes a long time ... two apps sent with package, one a freeware package called MediaCenter ... I do NOT recommend loading it if you have NT 4.0 ... I had to blow it out. Otherwise, I'm reasonably happy (note, I am not a high end graphics guy ... as such, I am easily pleased in this area).

But how does it work on whiteboards from a reasonable distance?
