Question

A question: I want to delete an article I posted in a thread (I had accidently posted the article twice.) However, I keep getting an error when I try to delete my post.

A couple things:

1) I'm logged in and cookied as myself.
2) I wasn't the person who started the thread.
3) I've played around with my profile's options, and none
of the settings let me delete the article.

Any hints as to what I need to be able to do this? The documentation on the edit/delete page makes me think that I should be able to delete the article.

TIA...

For starters, don't make any double posts!!!

Actually, it appears that mere mortals cannot delete their own posts for some reason (marcus has never really answered why ). If you have something specific, feel free to email myself or another staff member and we'll be glad to take care of it.

Thanks -- I will. I don't mind not being able to delete the posts; it's just that the documentation led me to believe that I should be able to.

Cool smileys are much more important to me.
