Soundsgood and XP????

Just figured out that my Minijam won't transfer music from my computer .. I have XP installed.. So it looks like my minijam will go to Ebay now. Anybody know if the SoundsGood is compatible with XP?

Before you sell it try running the software in compatability mode. I had some beta verisons of XP and compatibility mode fixed most problems.

Thumbs down

well, just for the record, innogear's "minijam loader" software doesn't work in macintosh os x "classic" mode, either.

it seems to work, at first: you can establish a connection and see the memory cards, mount their contents, etc. you can even download new songs -- if they're very small. after a few hundred "k" you get an error message stating that the either the minijam is not responding, or is "responding slowly" (i just love that ) and that you should check the minijam. the host connection/transfer then aborts, leaving the minijam thinking that it is still connected and transferring.

Doesn't the MiniJam come with a version of MusicMatch Jukebox? And can't you also transfer files through that? Have you tried to install the MusicMatch that came with it. That might work under XP and let you transfer the files.

I installed Musicmatch already and it won't even get a list of the mp3's stored on the minijam

Well I just installed XP over the weekend. MJLoader works fine. Maybe it's because I reformatted my hard drive and then did a clean install of XP rather than upgrading. I just added some mp3's to the MiniJam just now in fact.
I haven't tried transferring with MusicMatch, because I never tried that when I had Windows Millenium. But at least this means I didn't completely waste my money on the MiniJam.
