Counting words on Prism
Does anyone know of a desk accessory or hack that can count words? The closest I've come across is a Japanese-designed DA called acWord Count. It gives the number of characters and lines and total byte size but not the number of words. Any advice would be most welcome.
Yes, the best text-processing *application* for the PalmOS---peditPro---will show you:
- characters,
- words, and
- lines
for the text:
- *before* the selected text,
- *in* the selected text,
- *after* the selected text, and
- *total*,
among about four million other text-processing capabilities.
If you do *any* significant amount of text processing on your Visor, I strongly recommend peditPro. It is shareware that is well-worth the proce. If you also purchase the same author's incredible *hack*: LapTopHack, then you will also have powerful scripting capabilities!

Thanks, Dr Bruce. But I'm sticking to WordSmith, which also has a word-count feature. What I need is a DA or hack which can count words on any text-input application, including the built-in memopad. I was using acWord Count until I noticed that it couldn't count correctly.
