-- Can magnetic fields hurt? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=12672)
Sure they claim to be good for your arthritis...but is there any damage that can occur to a Visor from a high powered magnet...or any magnet/magnetic field? Of course EMP is a little different on the other hand...

I saw that everyone else had a signature and I felt left out, so here is mine.
At work when I do PM's on my tool I used to set my visor ontop of the tool next to me. After the PM I would go out and smoke and read Avantgo, but it seamed like everytime I did a PM it would have a fatal fault and would have to do a hard reset to recover. Took me a month to realize I was setting my Visor 2" above a 1' wide magnet spinning at 100 rpm
and that was causing my prob.
What made it so hard to narrow down the prob was the fact I had bad memory as well which would cause the same prob...

hmmmmmm
sounds pretty scary.... I know magnetic stuff can be bad if placed near computer and TV screens, dunno if its the same for PDAs though...

Always have my Visor with me...... =)

Don't know about magnetic fields, but airport X-ray devices have not hurt my Visor so far.
And I've gone through a lot of them!
