Oh--I meant the EB Slipper leather looked that way. The Vaja leather looks very supple--which if I am going to spend any money on one of these, I'd rather spend on the leather that is going to hold up. I don't need a belt clip, as I carry it in my purse. Thanks for your replies!

In either case, it's not a big deal - the unit slides in and out of the case easily, so it's not a problem. My only real beef with Vaja is that they marketed the case as synchable, but it isn't.

Well, I have limited space on my credenza and I use my Stowaway as a "stand" during the day. I would much prefer to leave it in the case all the time so that I can just grab it and chunk it in my purse when headed out the door.

The Vaja leather is not cheap in person - it's actually very nice, nicer than the EB Slipper (not that the Slipper's bad).

Yeah, that's what I meant. The Vaja looks like real leather. The slipper looks like some random leather parts altered to look that way. (Can't really explain what I mean). I would rather spring for the extra dough and get a prettier, longer-lasting case that you don't have to unzip to sync. I guess it's the "Can I really Sync/recharge" with Vaja that's got me in a quandry--Let me ask, have you used yours enough to get it "worn in?" (As I've seen referenced must take place before sync/charge works well...)

And no, I'm not selling my Vaja. I don't love it, but I like it just fine.

Rats.

I use the Slipper Prism Cell (for VisorPhone). I leave it in the case most of the time, even when syncing or using the Stowaway. This was a little tricky at first because you have to "flip up" the back part of the case that unzips in order to get it to go on the back side of the cradle or Stowaway support. After a couple days the leather was a little more flexible and this works great.

One drawback would be the angle of the lid when it is flipped up -- it only moves about 40 degrees from vertical. If you are using the stowaway on a level surface this shouldn't be a problem. But say you are using it in your lap or on an incline -- you might have problems with the lid wanting to flip closed. This was a little different than the Slipper case for the Deluxe because the VP antenna is in the way of the lid going back any further.

Regarding the leather quality -- it has held up very well. I used the Slipper case for my VDX for about 15 months before getting the VPR. I haven't had any complaints in this department.

Plus, don't forget that the E&B case has the little zipper pocket on the back of the case, which is quite useful for holding the hands-free earpiece.

Thanks, briguy, for the input. Glad to hear the leather is good quality--I reckon I'll have to wait to see what Santa brings me (coal, switches, the usual) before I decide.

Does anyone else wish that there were a VisorPhone case with a clear lid so one could see incoming calls without having to flip up the lid? Like the Treo! I don't have a VisorPhone, but I think a case like this would be easier to use than any of the current designs. I sent this as a feature request to E&B, but nothing's happened yet. If anyone agrees with me, consider sending them (or the other case makers) a note.

I have the Slipper Prism case with belt clip, and have been very happy with it, although I don't often use the belt clip. I do use the zipper to hotsync with the cradle.
